TRIALS FOR BEGINNERS
Beginners at bowling must always take a trial swing with the ball. One must go through the motions of their intended throw without releasing the ball and once you're fully comfortable with the focus and force of your shot, you must aim for the shot.
Beginners at bowling must attempt to play with light plastic balls for a better grip and practice. At the bowling alleys, the shop owner can possibly guide you about where you can find such kind of a ball before you start to hit the bowl.
DON’T TAKE A HEAVY BALL
There’s basic math that goes into the ball and the player weight ratio. A bowling ball should weigh 10 percent of the body weight of the player. Hence, if you weigh around 70 kgs, you must only pick a bowling ball up to 7-8 kgs and not 15-16 kgs instead. You definitely want some weight to the ball, but it shouldn’t be overly heavy and turn uncomfortable.
FINGER HOLES OF THE BALL MUST FIT
Sure a heavy ball knocks down all the bowling pins but if your fingers don’t fit right into the finger holes of the ball, then it might be the easiest way to knock yourself out of the game. The finger holes shouldn’t be too small or too big. Go for a ball which has holes just a little larger than your finger size. Also, remember to change your ball if you can't grip it well.
